FIRST SHIFT
– Cutting Room Laborer Hours are: 5:30am – 2:30pm (with some mandatory OT) As a Cutting Room Production Laborer, you will work in a fast-paced production environment where you’ll be responsible for performing manual labor related to all aspects of the Cutting Room process. Safety is a top priority; all employees are expected to work safely. Additionally, you may be required to assist in any department other than your primary department when and where your assistance is needed. Responsible for assisting the supervisor on all operationalsafety-related functions of company equipmentmachinery such as the bagger, VC999, Shrink Tunnel, Peeler, Roll stock, Grasselli Slicers, Spiral Slicers, Band Saw, Cubing Machine, Box Tapers, Metal Detectors, Scales, Pallet Jacks,other production-related machinery. Must be consistentreliable in attendance. Ability to use basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understand all aspects of company recipes. Must have the ability to effectively present information in both one-on-one and small group situations to management and other team members of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems. Must be able to work/train employees in a fast-paced refrigerated environment. Must be able to engage and motivate the production team while setting a professional example. Must be able to report to management staff safety, quality, productivity, and attendance issues from employees. Operate machineryplan staff scheduling/rotation/tasks. Report plant machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.
