Non-exempt Job Summary The Greens General Laborer is a hands-on position performing mulching and landscaping work under the direction of the Superintendent and First Assistant. This position is also responsible for the safe operation of small equipment such as greens mowers, fly-mowers, weed-eaters and edgers. Essential Duties include, but are not limited to: Trust and Teamwork Demonstrate trustworthiness and teamwork by meticulously caring for lawns, ensuring they are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing for all stakeholders Work collaboratively with team members to efficiently mow and edge lawns, contributing to the overall appearance of the property and fostering a sense of unity within the team.

Communicate effectively with supervisors by promptly reporting any equipment issues or needed repairs, ensuring that maintenance is performed promptly and efficiently.

Exhibit balance and appreciation by performing basic preventive maintenance on equipment and returning it to the designated location, contributing to the longevity and efficiency of the equipment. Appreciate the importance of manual labor by skillfully using hand tools necessary, contributing to the precision and detail of lawn care tasks. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent At least 1 year of grounds-keeping or landscaping experience Golf course maintenance experience a plus Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Working knowledge of all landscape maintenance equipment Ability to safely operate equipment such as mowers, edgers, and weed-eaters Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Possession of a valid driver’s license Physical Requirements Constant movement around the golf course on non-level grounds Frequent operation of motorized equipment over grass, dirt, and pavement Frequent use of small tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws and trimmers Frequent lifting of landscaping materials and tools weighing up to 100lbs Constant work in the outdoors with exposure to wide array of weather conditions and insects
