Summer Utility Position Available In Newberry, South Carolina

Job Purpose To provide general plant clean-up and utility services under daily direction. This is a temporary position with a maximum of 90 days of employment. A maximum of 40 hours per week worked on weekdays (Monday – Friday). In this position you will have the opportunity to: Perform general clean-up and utility duties under daily direction from supervisor, including but not limited to: sweeping floors cutting/mowing lawns raking grass picking up trash trimming bushes painting cleaning equipment, etc. Perform other duties as necessary. Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations. What do I need to be successful?

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of general plant clean-up and utility functions. Time management skills. Ability to read and understand safety rules and regulations. Must be at least 18 years of age at time employment begins. Priority will be given to candidates in school and/or enrolled in college course work or trades course work in the Fall semester of 2025. Priority will be given to students of current LP Employees.

Experience:

No experience required. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position. Education High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. Work Environment Manufacturing plant environment Ability to work indoors or outdoors in extreme weather related temperatures. Ability to work in a dusty environment.
