Recycle Sorter Blue Arbor York, SC 29745 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sorter to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the sorting process, ensuring that materials are accurately categorized and prepared for further processing. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Duties Sort various materials, including recyclables and waste, ensuring proper categorization. Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and front loader trucks to assist in the movement of materials. Perform heavy lifting as needed to move sorted items to designated areas. Sanitate work areas regularly to maintain cleanliness and safety standards. Collaborate with team members to optimize sorting processes and improve efficiency. Follow safety protocols while operating equipment and handling materials. Assist in the maintenance of sorting equipment, ensuring it is clean and functional. Requirements Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout the shift. Familiarity with sanitation practices in a work environment. Strong attention to detail for accurate sorting of materials. Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety guidelines. Willingness to learn new skills related to sorting and material handling. Ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
