Compensation:
Starting wage $17.00, adjusted based on experience
Benefits:
Seasonal position eligible for a season pass for employee/dependents and privileges at several other resorts. Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
Job Summary:
Join the team at Killington Resort as a Summer Grounds Worker and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our mountain during the summer season. This position helps maintain a safe, clean, and inviting environment for our guests and staff. Your contributions will support outdoor recreation, special events, and daily operations in the breathtaking Green Mountains.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Perform landscaping duties, including litter clean up, power brooming, mowing, trimming, leaf blowing, weeding, planting, and mulching Maintain walkways, walking paths, and other outdoor spaces to ensure they are safe and accessible Assist with maintenance of equipment Remove debris and ensure the cleanliness of public spaces and recreational areas Support the setup and teardown of events and activities as needed Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and vehicles safely and efficiently on a daily basis Perform other tasks as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to perform physical labor, for a continuous amount of time, including lifting up to 60 lbs and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Experience with landscaping tools and machinery is a plus but not required Experience operating a truck and trailer in tow Must be at least 18 years of age Reliable personal transportation
