Job Summary:
The Track and Trace Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and managing the status of shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipment Tracking:
Communicating with carriers during the entirety of a shipment ensuring they are on schedule for pick-up and delivery appointments Collect accurate data from dispatchers and drivers in a timely fashion and enter all information into the TMS Ensure real-time visibility of shipment status and update internal systems accordingly Maintain accurate records of shipment information, including pick up numbers, ETA’s, and any issues encountered. Verify customer delivery requirements are being met
Communication:
Answer inbound phone calls, call drivers and dispatchers, email customers and carriers Act as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates on shipment status Communicating issues or delays to Operations Team and providing solutions whenever possible Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving any concerns related to shipment status Utilizing in-house programs and online outlets to provide customers with up-to-date status
Problem-Solving:
Proactively identify problems and implement appropriate solutions; ability to make real time decisions with little guidance. Work collaboratively with others on the team to find solutions and improve processes
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Access to transportation to and from the office
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
