Job Summary:
- -The Live Operations & Whole Bird Planner isresponsible for directing daily logistics related to live birdplacement, harvest schedules, and loading schedules to ensuresmooth operations for the Midwest processing plants.
This roleassists in Whole Bird Planning (WBP) inventory deployment, ensuringthat inventory aligns with demand and is positioned appropriatelyacross facilities. Additionally, the Live Operations & Whole BirdPlanner is accountable for reviewing and balancing live housingavailability and poult placement, as well as creating and adjustingwhole bird plant production schedules to optimize efficiency andmeet production needs.
- Essential Functions, Duties ℜsponsibilities:
- Establishes weekly harvest schedule for Ozark,AR and Huntsville, AR plants, including confirmation of NPIPclearance of flocks for harvest (avian influenza negative,pesticide residue negative, etc.
).Creates and maintains weekly livehaul and loading schedules for crews and drivers, balancingresources against plant needs and timing to prevent any disruptionof live bird supply to plant operations.
Forms weekly hen poultplacement schedules for the Ozark, Arkansas, Huntsville, Arkansas,Carthage, Missouri divisions.
Balances weekly hen poult placementswith available housing in each live division.
Partners with Salesdivision to establish annual live volumes to meet customer demandfor whole birds and meat birds.
Collaborates with poult suppliers(internal and external) to establish/confirm annual poult needs forall Midwest live divisions to meet live volume goals for whole birdand meat bird sales demand.
Leads Whole Bird planning and executionfor Fresh Holiday Season
- concentrating on both live and plantprocesses.
Works with transportation and warehousing corporateteams, manage whole bird inventory deployment between productionplants and outside storage facilities.
Assists with the design andexecution of the annual strategic whole bird deployment andpreposition plan.
Conducts inventory reconciliation to ensure propercode date rotation and publish aged inventory reports tosales.
Maintains systems to accurately project inventoryavailability vs sales demand.
Tracks and reports year-to-date actualsales vs projected plans.
Develops weekly plant production schedulesfor both Ozark, Arkansas and Huntsville, Arkansas plants.
Supportsand leads continuous improvement initiatives.
Performs other dutiesas assigned.•

Exceptional verbal andwritten communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability tocollaborate with stakeholders and cross-functionalteams.
Understands the intricacies of the food manufacturingindustry, including the operational model spanning from harvestschedules to further processing and distribution.
Strong analyticaland statistical analysis skills with an attention todetail.
Demonstrates a proficiency in inventory and purchaseplanning methodologies.
Excellent organizational skills and timemanagement skills with the ability to effectively manage multiplepriorities.
Ability to adapt and respond quickly to changes inlive/plant arenas, capability to think ahead and high level forfuture business impacts.
Shows a dedication to continuousimprovement and the ability to lead change.
Robust Microsoft Excelskills with the ability to maintain spreadsheets, create formulas,and utilize advanced functions such as lookups, power query andpivot tables.

Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree inSupply Chain Management, Agricultural Business, Poultry Science orsimilar; will consider a combination of education and workexperience in lieu of a college degree.
3+ years of experienceworking in environments such as a live poultry grow-out operationsor poultry processing plant.
Proficient in Microsoft Suites (Word,Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Access, Outlook, etc.) and ERP(enterprise resource planning) systems such as SAP.

- -Office, Plant, and Farm environments.
Possibility of being exposed to varying conditions in Plant & Farmsetting, such as cold areas, warm areas, chemicals, dust, and othersite conditions.
Noise level of the environment is usually moderate,however varies per location.
Physical requirements of the positioninclude sitting, standing, and walking for prolonged periods oftime.
May require the ability to occasionally lift up to 20pounds.
Ability and willingness to travel to multiple locations upto 30% of the time.
Adaptable to scheduling needs to accommodatebusiness requirements during Fresh Season.
