Share your resume with us today! This position is responsible for planning, quoting, and requisitioning all material components for manufacturing. Duties may include developing raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules as well as planning and managing material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production. Candidate will work closely with vendors and purchasing to ensure material purchases will meet deadlines. Candidate should have working knowledge of bills of material for electronic and mechanical components. Strong written and verbal communication and proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications is required. Primary Responsibilities Working with Vendors to obtain quotes, PO status, and delivery schedule Evaluate material demand using Costpoint Communicate material status to the PC Planning Team Communicate material status and issues with Program Managers Ensure quality notes are flown down to purchasing on all material requisitions Report out at Program Meetings both material status and cost data Basic Qualifications Candidate must have BS degree and/or High School diploma or GED with two (2) years of experience. Candidate must be a detail-oriented individual with the ability to handle multiple tasks at any given time. Candidate must have demonstrated knowledge of production planning and quality control principles (AS9100) Candidate must have experience of MS Office and ERP systems Candidate must have demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville – North Alabama, AL area Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Costpoint experience Active security clearance Material procurement experience in a manufacturing environment (DOD Preferred)
