Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to fill a dual role as a Transload Loader and Logistics Coordinator at our Montgomery, AL location. This position blends hands-on transloading work with logistics coordination, offering a well-rounded opportunity to build skills across both operations and administration – all performed onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Transload Loader, you will safely transfer hazardous and non-hazardous products between railroad tank cars and tanker trucks, operating equipment, performing inspections, and ensuring compliance with EPA, FRA, OSHA, and company standards. This hands-on work involves climbing ladders, lifting up-to 60 lbs, working outdoors in all weather conditions, and occasionally wearing full-body hazmat suits. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will manage the flow of products by coordinating with trucking companies, preparing shipping documentation (including hazmat paperwork and bills of lading), and ensuring smooth scheduling and inventory tracking. Strong communication, organization, and computer skills are essential for success.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED required + Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required + Prior experience in logistics, trucking, or a related field preferred + Strong communication skills and attention to detail + Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in all weather + Comfortable using computers and managing shipping documents + Motivated, safety-minded, and capable of working independently
Working Conditions:
This position combines outdoor physical work and indoor administrative tasks. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods, work safely at heights up to 20 feet, and occasionally lift up to 60 lbs.
