At Baptist Health Shelby Hospital responsibilities include receiving, picking, staging, replenishment, put-a-way, packing and loading of all medical supplies processed through the Consolidated Service Center/Central Supply. Assist with the maintenance of inventory control, proper stock rotation and physical inventories or cycle counting as needed. Safe operation and daily maintenance of equipment assigned, including but not limited to forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks or other material handling equipment.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions Picks supplies in low unit of measure and or bulk as designated on pick-tickets. Verifies picking accuracy. Assists in fulfillment of orders and delivering them to the designated staging area meeting company standards for safety, security and productivity. Checks that orders are complete and that proper labels and tickets are applied. Receives all incoming products, including supplies and equipment, and compares information (manufacturers catalog, quantity shipped, etc.) on packing slip with Purchase Order number to verify accuracy. Inspects shipments for damage or defects. Ensures that all shipping, receiving and picking documents are completed accurately and on time. Assists with reconciliation of invoice unit of measure discrepancies. Prepares bills of lading or receipts for shipments and route. Organizes, stages and loads cross-dock items and pallets. Completes all records and reports as required through the use of warehouse (WMIS) and materials (MMIS) information technology systems. Assists in loading trucks and/or warehouse vehicles. Facility maintenance in/around loading dock. Operates material handling equipment as needed. As directed, locates or relocates items for availability or for safety reasons. Ensures all filled orders are complete and correct. Packs, wraps and weighs orders and records information as required. Maintains safe and clean work area including removal and disposal of waste materials in appropriate manner. Ensures the organizing, scheduling, and completion of daily work assignments, staging space, and dock facilities to maximize efficient material flow. Maintains company procedures and standards for ecological policies regarding recycling, energy conservation and other green initiatives. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health and Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health and Orlando Health policies and procedures. Successfully complete equipment training certification related to fork-lift, pallet-jack and other required industrial equipment utilized within the consolidated service center. Ability to successfully pass all drug-test screenings on transfer to the consolidated service center and on a random basis.

Qualifications:

Education/Training High School graduate or equivalent. Basic Computer skills required. Relevant experience preferred.
