Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Monitoring Detention Alert systemMonitoring customers with high delay frequencyCommunicating with Operations to verify dataCommunicating requests to customersBeing aware of customers’ specific assessorial schedules.

Processing approvals for billing and driver compensationQualificationsHigh school diploma with 2-3 years of experience working in a logistics or transportation companyFour year college degree from an accredit college or university (preferred)Excellent communication skillsA strong sense of urgencyTechnical proficiency in MS Office Suite with a high aptitude for MS ExcelMcLeod Software is (highly recommended)Organized use of company emailA Successful Detention Specialist must consistently demonstrate the company’s Mission and Values. They must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person and on the telephone. They must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills. A successful Detention Specialist must be able to effectively manage freight and pay attention to details. Finally, they must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
