Plans, prepares, issues and controls productionschedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure acontrolled flow of approved materials timed to meet productionrequirements. Coordinates material movement betweenwarehouse/storeroom and production areas. Advises management of thestatus of work in progress, material availability, and potentialproduction problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materialsand services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment andpersonnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares workorders or purchase requests for the production or purchase ofcomponents or parts based on a master production schedule, shopload and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmentalactivity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing,engineering, inventory control, traffic, contracts administration,etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means ofmove orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders. Goodworking knowledge of Excel, Access and Outlook with SAP experiencepreferred. Discretion/Latitude 1: Applies discretion and judgmentto complete assignments of limited scope. Work is reviewedthroughout the assignment. Impact 1: Completes assignmentsrequiring judgment and discretion. Failure to achieve results mayaffect schedules and programs. Knowledge 1: Applies appropriateprinciples, theories, and concepts to complete assignments oflimited scope. Limited knowledge of industry practices andstandards. Liaison 1: Contacts are primarily with immediatesupervisor, and other personnel in the section or group. ProblemSolving 1: Develops solutions to assigned problems of limitedscope. Typical Minimums 1: Bachelors degree from an accreditedcollege in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combinededucation.
