Job Description:

Plans, prepares, issues andcontrols production schedules and coordinates with materialrequirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materialstimed to meet production requirements. Coordinates materialmovement between warehouse/storeroom and production areas. Advisesmanagement of the status of work in progress, materialavailability, and potential production problems to ensure thatpersonnel, equipment, materials and services are provided asneeded. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supplyand demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for theproduction or purchase of components or parts based on a masterproduction schedule, shop load and inventory requirements.

Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance,manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic,contracts administration, etc.; schedules and expedites themovement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers andrequests for shipping orders. Good working knowledge of Excel,Access and Outlook with SAP experience preferred.

Discretion/Latitude 1: Applies discretion and judgment to completeassignments of limited scope. Work is reviewed throughout theassignment. Impact 1: Completes assignments requiring judgment anddiscretion. Failure to achieve results may affect schedules andprograms. Knowledge 1: Applies appropriate principles, theories,and concepts to complete assignments of limited scope. Limitedknowledge of industry practices and standards. Liaison 1 : Contactsare primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in thesection or group. Problem Solving 1: Develops solutions to assignedproblems of limited scope.

Education:

Bachelors degree from anaccredited college in a related discipline, or equivalentexperience/combined education.
