Job Description

Planner 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars Pawcatuck, CT 06379 Davis-Standard is a global leader in the design, development and distribution of extrusion and converting technology. Our systems encompass over 14 product lines to support manufacturing applications and customers in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, building & construction, consumer products, medical and packaging. We have an exciting opportunity for a Planner to join our dynamic team in Pawcatuck, Connecticut. This position will organize production according to demand and quality standards. Responsibilities Develops a production schedule detailing all tasks and when they should be completed by to meet predicted completion date Liaises with project managers, buyers, manufacturing, and maintenance employees to ensure all workers, materials, and machinery will be available when required Troubleshoots problems that occur during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions Work with planning and procurement team to make sure that all issues that are related to scheduling are properly handled and resolved Ensure schedules are provided in a timely fashion and that any distortions are rectified and/or accounted for always Maintains scheduling tools for extruders, panels, downstream, gearcases and screws Maintains Production Planner for machine shop Support Show Stopper meeting and follow up on appropriate actions Collects and assesses data about the production and team’s performance Prepares reports about production processes for upper management and suggests ways to improve efficiency Back-up in various areas of planning team Perform other job duties as assigned.
