Full Job Description Overview:
Performs tasks related to the distribution duties for the management of whole blood and blood components, in compliance with OneBlood standard operating procedures. May be required to perform duties related to other Biologics functions including manufacturing and transportation of blood, blood products and specimens.
Position Schedule:
This is a full-time position that will work 7:00 AM•3:30 PM Friday•Tuesday. Schedule flexibility is required.
Training Schedule:
Candidate must be available to attend training Monday•Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm for a period of 2-3 weeks.
Responsibilities:

Ensures suitability and accurate labeling of products for release and distribution Performs data entry associated with component production, labeling, storage and shipping ensuring accurate and complete manufacturing records Manufactures, stores and distributes blood and blood products Operates, maintains and performs quality control checks on equipment Performs the quarantine and disposition of unacceptable products and/or samples and performs quality control on blood products Ensures adequate inventory of required supplies Provides customer service to internal and external customers and vendors May operate a OneBlood courier vehicle when applicable.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent and proficient computer skills. Prior customer service, laboratory, blood bank manufacturing or logistics experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND DESIGNATIONS
Current and valid driver’s license in good standing may be required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to organize work for timely completion Ability to multi-task, while maintaining the safety of blood components Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions Ability to speak, write, read and understand English Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and those contacted in the course of work Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Skill in operating office equipment and technology Ability to report to work during a disaster, public health emergency or other catastrophic event.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
