Ready Mix Concrete Logistics Coordinator 2.5 2.5 out of 5 stars 4410 Industrial Park Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043 Hard Rock Materials, Inc., a locally owned Ready-Mix concrete company with multiple locations in Duval, Clay, and St. John’s Counties, is actively looking for a Ready-Mix Concrete Dispatch Manager based out of our Green Cove Springs, FL location. The objectives of the position are to ensure that customers are serviced properly, delivery is scheduled efficiently and ensure DOT guidelines are met for every delivery of product to each job site.

Job Duties:

Manage and coordinate

LARGE FLEET OF

ready-mix drivers, roll-off drivers and dump truck drivers to ensure safe, accurate, and on-time delivery of concrete and concrete products. Ensure all drivers are within DOT guidelines for work and delivery schedules. Identify and track the delivery routes by working closely with the drivers and operators. Must know how to dispatch from several locations and a move a large fleet of trucks. Must be able to determine travel time to jobs and best plant location to service jobs. Monitor orders and scheduling throughout the day and make adjustments as necessary to maintain customer service and best utilize drivers and equipment. Work closely with sales and operations teams to enhance service, products and trucking efficiency. Identify potential problems and communicate immediately with management if unable to solve them. Be proactive, self-motivated, self-starter. Communication Skills. Must have the ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products and vehicles. Must have the ability to read and understand maps, road instructions, manuals, rules, and regulations. Technology Skills. Must have the ability to handle frequent distractions from radios and phones. Must be extremely competent in the use of computers. Must be comfortable in the use of dispatching and truck movement computer software programs. Must be familiar with purchase order systems as it relates to customer orders

Requirements:

Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check. Required hours will require overtime and possibly Saturdays with some early morning work required. Willingness to work in a team environment. Education. Associate’s, Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience is required. Experience. At least 3-5 years of ready-mix operational experience or previous experience dispatching ready-mix concrete or similar building materials required. Ready to Drive.
