Bilingual Logistics Coordinator Job Description Ensure daily truck capacity is available to deliver excellent service while maintaining expected margins. Develop and maintain daily shipment schedules to optimize routes and loads for efficiency and cost reduction. Plan for peak periods and coordinate additional resources as needed. Coordinate and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Organize and schedule transportation, including booking carriers, assigning routes, and managing delivery timelines. Monitor vendor service agreements and requests to ensure alignment with requested services. Track and manage chassis usage to avoid unnecessary charges. Monitor container days and coordinate timely returns to avoid detention and demurrage fees. Maintain communication with Ocean Lines and Terminals for container updates. Meet and exceed clients’ expectations and needs. Plan daily receiving and dispatching based on customer requirements. Find solutions to any dispatching issues that may arise. Escalate situations with supporting data to Managers and Directors as necessary. Monitor emails closely to ensure load plans and inquiries from the customer service team are completed accordingly. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned. Essential Skills 1 year of experience handling traffic, documentation, and customer service functions for ocean transportation. 1 year of experience in logistics. Bilingual in English and Spanish
