Lawson Full Job Description Position Highlights:

Assists in facilitating all daily operations in material distribution areas and all its related functions and systems in an efficient and effective manner. Reviews and controls supplies, cost, space, inventory levels and evaluates process flows throughout the department and hospital. Supports all Pyxis equipment and supplies within the machines and in PAR locations. Responsible for strict control of the inventory. Supports the Strategic Goals and the Mission of the Cancer Center.

Job Duties:

Ensures accurate data entry to maintain strict inventory balances, as well as cycle counts. Proactively work with end users on product issues to provide excellent customer service. Provides quality control by monitoring expiration dates, recalls, substitutions and recalls. Responsible for the training of new employees and their skill development. Coordinates and assists with technical system automation and upgrades, trouble shoots system issues daily. Utilizes supply chain practices to ensure the efficient movement of products. Assists in hospital-wide new product launches, as well as analyzes reports to improve product challenges. Required to adhere to a flexible schedule to meet hospital and department needs.

Credentials and Qualifications:

Associate’s Degree (Field of Study in Business or related discipline). Minimum of five (5) years of supply chain/receiving experience directly involved in supply chain analysis support within a healthcare facility, medical durable goods management, educational facility or similar supplier/distribution business; with three (3) years working specifically in Healthcare Supply Chain/Receiving environment is required (may be inclusive of other experience). Minimum of two (2) years experience with vendor management software and in-person (customer service) interactions is required. Must have working knowledge of perpetual inventories. Must possess computer knowledge and excellent telephone etiquette. Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are needed, as well as excellent written and verbal skills. Preferred Inventory Control experience preferred. Lawson software and Mobile Supply (MSCM) is preferred, Pyxis knowledge preferred.
