Transportation Support Specialist – Part Time

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Transportation Support Specialist is a non-exempt position responsible for providing transportation and on-site supervision to children in out-of-home care.
Provide transportation and supervision of children to/from school, office, foster and/or group homes, and other locations in the community
Provide supervision to youth at the office, during transport, or in other community locations, as required
Provide, strengthen and maintain a positive mentoring role by developing rapport with youth under supervision
Utilize de-escalation and intervention techniques to assist in stabilizing youth in crisis
Assist other program staff and intervene in crisis situations as necessary
Attempt to create, strengthen, and maintain positive, supportive working relationships between youth, caregivers, and other professionals involved in serving the youth
Provide completed documentation for services rendered within required timeframes to case management program staff
Assist with on-call when necessary in accordance with agency policy and program procedure
Maintain client confidentiality according to established policies, federal and state statutes, by obtaining needed releases of information
Perform all other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preference given to candidates with childcare experience, experience working with teenagers, and/or experience working in the Child Welfare Dependency system.
Must have a valid driver license and auto insurance
