DESCRIPTION
The Dry Dock Logistics Manager is responsible for planning and managing logistics functions to support the execution of dry docks and special projects for the CCL fleet. This role involves overseeing on-site logistics provides, establishing project metrics, ensuring timely execution of logistics, developing master schedules for shipping cutoffs and exception management.
Essential Functions:
Contract and manage on site dry dock logistics providers. Responsible for performance and day-to-day activities for all 3PL contractors. Establish key metrics and success criteria for projects.
Responsible for timetable and deadlines to ensure timely execution of the material logistics to support projects. Must elevate to upper management when issues are not occurring in a timely manner. Responsible for planning and execution for all of the material logistics aspects of Dry Docks and special projects. Manage timelines and communications with both internal and external partners. Develop master schedule for shipping cut-offs and exception management Responsible for successfully managing work relationships with all stakeholders.
Create procedures for reverse logistics and product returns. Lessons learned at the end or each project with major stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Engineering, Finance
Master’s degree a plus
5-8 years of experience in material logistics working with 3rd party contractor and FTEE’s.
Strong computer skills, including robust Excel abilities.
Port operations experience and knowledge preferred
Physical Demands:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Requires regular movement throughout CCL facilities. May need to stand for long periods of time.
Travel:
25-50% with shipboard travel likely
Work Conditions:
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. May be requested to work a different shift.
This position is classified as “remote.” As a remote role, it allows employees to work full-time from their home. It may also require regular travel to Carnival headquarters in Miami, FL for in-office collaboration. Sourcing of candidates is primarily done in Carnival’s remote hubs of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas. If the search is extended past those areas, candidates must be located in one of the following U.S.
