Position Summary:

Responsible for the coordination of air and ocean imports shipments from A – Z. Must have excellent people skills and the ability to keep constant communication with customers and team members; knowledge of the logistics process of a shipment when speaking with customers about their shipment process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for coordination of all assigned shipments (air and ocean) from origin. File pre-alerts and ISF’s. Constant follow-up with customers, transportation companies, and/or agents regarding shipment status, processes, and documentation needed. Process invoices into the system. Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies. Ensure all documents are prepared in a timely manner for shipments to be on time and without issues. Guarantee that all documentation is accurate and all industry, federal, and international regulations are followed. Prepare reports as requested. Communication with co-workers, management, warehouse, customers of any issues and come to a resolution. Other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

Education, Skills, and knowledge Associate degree or equivalent plus 2-5 years previous export experience. Bilingual English/Spanish (able to read, write and speak). Strong knowledge of air and ocean imports documentation, regulations, and processes. Ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, and other departments within the company. Exceptional problem-solving abilities. Detail oriented. Very organized. Strong ability to prioritize workflow. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word. Prior experience working in logistics is a plus. Magaya software, a plus.
