Position Summary:

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and providing high-quality customer support throughout the logistics process. This role plays a key part in managing the smooth movement of goods across borders while maintaining communication with internal teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and customers.

Your Responsibilities:

Coordinate and track international shipments (import and export), ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation. Prepare, review, and process shipping documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and customs declarations. Ensure compliance with international trade regulations (e.g., Incoterms, HS codes, export control laws). Communicate proactively with customers to provide shipment updates, resolve delays or issues, and respond to logistics-related inquiries. Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and warehouses to manage logistics operations. Monitor shipment status using logistics software (Magaya); maintain accurate records of all transactions. Support internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, finance) with logistics-related information and documentation. Identify opportunities for cost savings or efficiency improvements in transportation and shipping processes. Stay current with changes in customs regulations, trade agreements, and import/export laws.

Qualifications:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation coordination, including import/export. Knowledge of freight forwarding, international shipping regulations, Incoterms, and customs procedures. Familiarity with logistics software, Magaya, and shipment tracking tools. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
