Operations Manager Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Associate to manage the critical functions of shipping and packing within our warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments meet customer and carrier requirements, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, optimizing the flow of goods, and keeping thorough documentation.
Key Responsibilities Shipping & Packing:
Prepare and pack outgoing shipments according to order specifications and client requirements. Verify shipping documentation for accuracy and completeness. Ensure compliance with all labeling, packaging, and shipping standards.
Logistics Coordination:
Maintain and improve the overall flow of goods throughout the warehouse and distribution processes. Track movement of goods from inbound receiving to outbound dispatch.
Documentation & Quality Assurance:
Accurately document shipments, including creating records and taking detailed photographs. Ensure all documentation is properly filed and accessible for internal or external audit needs.
Warehouse Maintenance:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and shipping areas. Follow safety protocols and report any issues to supervisors promptly.
Equipment Operation:
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor bin locations and ensure inventory is stored and rotated correctly. Required Qualifications Proven experience in a logistics, shipping, or warehouse role. Strong knowledge of packaging, labeling, and shipping procedures. Forklift certification and hands-on operating experience. Understanding of bin location systems and warehouse flow optimization. High attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously. Strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in the apparel or retail logistics industry. Familiarity with shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, DHL) and warehouse management systems (WMS). Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace). Work Environment & Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
