Pay Rate:

$30/hour

Contract:

6 months

Work Schedule:

40 hours/week | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Raise is currently hiring a Logistics Compliance Specialist on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Overview
This role supports the implementation of end-to-end trade compliance and tariff-related activities.
The focus is ensuring compliance with U.S. Government laws and the company policies, with responsibilities spanning classification, documentation, audits, and ERP integration.
Interaction with customs brokers and freight forwarders is also key.
Responsibilities
Monitor updates to U.S. Customs Regulations (19CFR), Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and trade laws
Assign and maintain accurate HTS codes and determine country of origin
Apply U.S. Customs valuation methods
Support tariff analysis and report on duty spend
Ensure compliance with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations
Assist with Customs programs: Duty Drawback, Temporary Import Bonds, FTZs, etc.
Act as liaison to customs brokers and freight forwarders
Integrate trade compliance data into ERP systems (e.g., SAP material master)
Support internal audits and documentation reviews
Develop and provide trade compliance reports and metrics
Create SOPs and assist in training cross-functional teams
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (or equivalent education + 5 years of relevant experience)
3+ years in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics
Deep knowledge of:
U.S. Customs regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations
HTS classification, valuation, country of origin rules
Duty Drawback, TIBs, FTZs
EAR, ITAR, and Sanctions Programs
Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
Experience with trade automation or software tools
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
U.S. Customs Broker License (preferred but not required)
Experience with:
Duty drawback, FTZs, or CTPAT
Aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries
Leadership or project management experience
Ability to drive change and motivate teams
