Job Description
Summary:
Seeking a Logistics Compliance Specialist to monitor U.S. Customs regulations and ensure adherence to trade compliance protocols.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business or related field, or equivalent education with 5+ years’ experience. Minimum of 3 years in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics. In-depth knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations. Strong knowledge of HTS classification, valuation methods, country of origin determination, and Customs programs. Knowledge of EAR, ITAR, and Sanctions Programs. Experience using ERP systems; SAP highly preferred. Experience with Trade Automation/SW solutions.
Preferred Skills:
Licensed U.S. Customs Broker. Experience with duty drawback, FTZs, or CTPAT. Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-tech industry.
Responsibilities:
Monitor changes to relevant trade regulations and maintain accurate HTS code classifications. Support analysis of tariff exposure and report duty spend across product lines. Ensure compliance with all U.S. import/export regulations (CBP, ITAR, EAR). Implement Customs programs like Duty Drawback and Temporary Import Bonds. Liaise with customs brokers and freight forwarders for shipping instructions. Support ERP integration of trade compliance data and internal audits.
