About the Opportunity As the Logistics Planner at Monin, you will coordinate all logistics procedures and the timely shipping of sales orders to meet the customers’ requested delivery date and organize transportation for all Distribution Center locations. An added responsibility in this role is to also coordinate with suppliers and third-party vendors to verify delivery and shipment details and ensure clear and accurate specifics. The ideal candidate for this role has excellent communication and organizational skills, especially in data processing procedures and updating product information on the database. What You’ll Do Scheduling transportation of raw materials from suppliers to support manufacturing in achieving customer demand and minimizing cost impacts Develop and maintain a transportation system for domestic and international freight that ensures business needs and lead times are met Analyze procurement and transportation requirements identifying any areas where a more efficient or cost-effective mode of transportation can be used but also fit into lead times to meet manufacturing Effectively communicate between carriers and cross-functional teams on rates, claims, and scheduling Analyzes technology and distribution network trends and implements changes in the department as appropriate Track, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators Enhance and streamline transportation processes and procedures Ensure transportation rates are in line with current market pricing Inventory control and cycle counting Drive forklifts – Counterbalance and sit down Other duties may be assigned Upholds companies’ mission and values Your Secret Ingredients Passion for Quality— You take pride in the quality of everything you touch and everything you do. Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer-focused working environment.
