Water Supply Planner Bureau of Water Supply Planning Job Summary:
This is professional work supporting the coordination and completion of the components required to produce water supply plans and MFL prevention and recovery strategies, including reporting, analysis, research, and project documentation and tracking.
Job duties include:
Performs statistical analyses of water use, population, and per capita. Documents operating procedures, assists in maintenance of the District’s databases in reviewing and updating missing water use data; adheres to data management protocols and QA/QC procedures Coordinates with stakeholders to compile public supply service area boundary and reclaimed water information; validates and deconflicts spatial data; adheres to District GIS standards in development of data and work products. Assists in development of Reports of Annual Water Use, Water Supply Assessments, District Water Supply Plans and Joint Water Supply Plans, including review and analysis of water use data, water conservation programs, preparation of tables and charts, presentations that effectively convey water use information, writing selected chapters and text, document quality control, coordination of internal and external reviews, and representing the District at meetings.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in water supply planning, natural resources, or related field and one year of professional experience in water supply planning, environmental resource management, or related field. An advanced degree may substitute for a portion of the required experience.
Skilled In:
The use of personal computer; SharePoint, programming software, R, Python, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Projects, Teams, etc.) Oracle, statistical and graphical software. Adobe, ArcGIS, ArcPro, and
ARC/INFO.
Effective communication and writing of technical reports.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment:
Mostly office environment sitting at a desk and operating a personal computer to produce work products.
Licenses:
Requires a valid Florida driver license.
Travel:
Occasional travel to attend off-site meetings, sometimes outside of normal business hours including overnight. Ability to drive oneself to and from meetings.

$56,180.80 – $70,220.80 Starting salary is based on qualifications and experience.
