After-Service Parts & Logistics Specialist 2.7 2.7 out of 5 stars Register, GA 30452 We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive After-Service Parts & Logistics Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to the efficiency and success of our after-sales service operations. The specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels of service parts and ensuring their timely availability to support repairs and maintenance. Additionally, the role involves direct, hands-on logistics support on the shop floor, working closely with internal teams, external partners, and transportation providers. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in logistics, inventory control, and service parts management, along with a strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Logistics Operations Coordinate and manage the transportation and shipment of service parts, ensuring on-time delivery. Verify that shipped parts match records in MES/ERP systems. Track and document the status of shipments from dispatch to delivery. Collaborate closely with HMGMA personnel and truck drivers to ensure efficient and timely parts delivery. Prepare detailed shipping instructions and oversee the entire delivery process. Troubleshoot and resolve logistics-related issues, including transportation delays and system errors. Supervise the loading and unloading of parts and materials. Monitor and maintain the inventory of parts needed for production and service needs. Analyze production capacity and demand to identify constraints or bottlenecks. Develop and implement strategies to optimize logistics workflows and meet production and customer requirements. After-Service Parts Management Maintain accurate inventory levels of service parts, ensuring availability to support customer maintenance and repair needs. Monitor stock status and initiate replenishment orders as required. Conduct routine inventory audits and address discrepancies proactively. Process customer service parts orders with precision, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment. Prepare and manage documentation for all incoming and outgoing service parts, including logs for receiving and shipping. Coordinate with warehouse staff for efficient picking, packing, and dispatch of parts. Act as the primary contact for customers on parts inquiries and order tracking. Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and resolving issues related to parts availability and logistics. Partner with service technicians to identify parts needed for specific repair jobs. Use inventory management systems and ERP tools to track parts usage, availability, and restocking needs. Generate usage reports and trend analysis to support planning, forecasting, and decision-making. Keep thorough records of all part transactions and customer communications to ensure compliance and enhance service operations. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in parts management, logistics, inventory control, or customer service—preferably in automotive, machinery, or related industry. Hands-on experience with inventory management software and ERP systems (MES/ERP experience preferred). Strong logistics knowledge, including material handling, warehousing, and shipment coordination. Physically capable of lifting up to 60 lbs., and able to perform physically demanding tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, and repetitive motion. Comfortable standing on hard surfaces for extended periods—up to 12 hours—in a high-paced, production-oriented environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Customer-focused mindset with the ability to multitask under pressure.
