A Material Planner is needed for an American multinational home appliances corporation in the Athens, GA area. The Planner is responsible for ensuring timely material availability to support production schedules by coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

work hours: 8am to 4pm
education: Associates responsibilities: Plan, order, and expedite materials to support production schedules. Use MRP and visual management tools to ensure continuous material supply. Issue timely release orders to suppliers; confirm acknowledgment. Communicate and address material shortages. Manage planning parameters to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
Support improvement activities including:
Material presentation to production Warehouse layout optimization Participate in change and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Education / Certifications Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing, or Engineering + 3 years experience Option 2: Associate degree in same fields + 8 years experience Experience / Qualifications Experience in materials and/or purchasing. Ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Fast learner, adaptable in fast-paced settings. strong urgency and follow-through skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools. Experience using MRP systems (preferably JDE-Oracle). CPIM or CPM certification is a plus.
