Summary The VMO Vendor Oversight Partner is responsible formanaging and supporting critical supplier relationships. This roleensures that the supplier adheres to contractual obligations,delivers optimal performance, and complies with healthcareregulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership,analytical, and communication skills to effectively manage supplierengagements across various departments and ensure alignment withthe organization’s strategic goals.
Duties Supplier/VendorManagement:
- Support Business Unit (BU) in their efforts formanaging supplier relationships in alignment with organizationalgoals.
- Ensure supplier complies with healthcare regulations,organizational standards, and contractual obligations.
- Conductand / or participate in account reviews with suppliers to ensurebusiness relationships are fostered and maintained
PerformanceMonitoring and Improvement:
- Work with BU to conduct and analyzeregular performance reviews to ensure performance guarantees aremet and identify areas for improvement.
- Work with BUs toimplement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiativesto enhance supplier performance.
- Ensure missed performanceresolution strategies are identified and any liquidated damages arecorrectly calculated and received.
Risk Management:
- Identify andmitigate risks associated with supplier engagements.
- Adhere torisk management policies and procedures specific to the healthcareindustry.
- Addresses reported risk events/potential risk areas andfacilitate root cause analysis and resolution while ensuring properdocumentation is maintained.
- Facilitate and oversee crossfunctional discussions
Contract Management:
- Support BUs formonitoring contract terms.
- Support contract renewals, amendments,and terminations.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate withinternal stakeholders, including clinical, administrative, andoperational teams, to understand business needs and objectives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between suppliers andinternal teams.
- Act as the primary escalation point of contactfor supplier-related issues.
