Description Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a skilled Materials Planner to add to their team in Blue Ridge, GA. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are sourced, tracked, and delivered on time to meet production goals, while also managing inventory levels and assisting with production scheduling. You’ll work cross-functionally with operations, production, and quality teams to support daily planning, vendor follow-ups, and process improvements. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and experienced with ERP or MRP systems. This position breaks down to roughly 40% material planning, 30% inventory management, and 30% scheduling. Materials Planner (Manufacturing exp. req.) Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels and reorder materials to support production needs Track open jobs and prioritize items that are late or due soon Follow up with vendors daily to confirm delivery timelines and order status Support weekly and daily meetings with updates on material and order readiness Coordinate shipments to ensure customer orders are prepared and shipped on time Maintain stock levels for high-use or blanket order items Use ERP software to manage inventory and job tracking Conduct and reconcile regular physical inventories Identify alternative material sources when needed Collaborate with operations, production, quality, and finance teams Assist with vendor communication on new material specs (no technical background required) Materials Planner (Manufacturing exp. req.)
