The Position This position is a member of the DistributionCenter. The Distribution Specialist 1 will report directly to theProduction Control Manager. Job Description PrimaryResponsibilities All aspects of receiving, inventory, distributionand shipping. After receiving material from dock assist inunloading and movement of materials to receiving. Verify counts andidentify materials received. Record discrepancies and notifyappropriate department accordingly: i.e. purchasing, accounting,inspection. Process transactions into Microsoft Dynamics 365database. Deliver material to work centers. Maintain packing listfiles for audit trail.

When pulling materials for orders:

prepareshortage tickets, print CO’s as required, and monitor shortages anddeliver parts to assigned staging areas.

To maintain integrity ofstockroom:

ensure proper inventory balances based on input/outputtransactions, ensure proper location and identification of allmaterials in stockroom, provide timely and accurate reporting tomaterial and accounting departments, provide audit traildocumentation of transactions as required by production control andaccounting. When performing inventories, notify production controlof any discrepancies and work with inventory control to rectify anydiscrepancies. When shipping to customer’s ship dates must bemonitored to assure shipping commitments are met, documentsreviewed for correctness and scales, marking equipment,registration systems used as necessary. Shipments are properlypacked and attending duties performed i.e. label, weight log, stageand ship. All documents completed as required. New tools andproducts are evaluated and recommendations for efficiency andimprovement made. Requisition supplies as required. ISO 9001

requirements. Candidate shouldhave excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidatemust adhere to all facility-wide safety standards and practices.

Successful completion of Heavy Lift training Lift truckcertification/license required within 1 month of start date.

Fluency in English Responsible for all areas of proficiency indistribution, and stockroom control including receiving, inventorymaintenance/distribution and shipping. Must be able to receivematerial at dock from internal/external sources. Must be able topull materials for Customer Orders (CO’s) and Manufacturing Orders(MO’s). Must maintain integrity of stockroom. Must performinventory cycle counts in accordance with Pettibone, L.L.C.published procedures. Provide shipments to customers and others asdirected by shipping orders and packing lists. Provide adequateprotection (packaging) for shipments to customers. Maintaininventory of packing/shipping/distribution center materials used indaily operations.
