Job Description
Logistics Specialist Job Description Our client’s inbound Transportation team is looking to add a Logistics Specialist. In this role, you will manage scheduled pickups, re-route hauls, resolve issues, perform data analysis, and interact with various vendors. You will work closely with 18-wheeler freight hauls and be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and timely shipment pickups. Responsibilities + Manage scheduled pickups and re-route hauls, as necessary. + Resolve issues related to shipment pickups and vendor activities. + Conduct data analysis to identify and solve problems. + Interact with approximately 50 different vendors to learn and resolve issues. + Participate in morning meetings to review daily plans and recap the previous day’s activities. + Track vendor activity using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools. + Ensure smooth operations of up to 1000 shipments per week. Essential Skills + At least 4 years of professional work experience. + Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office. + Strong data analysis and interpretation skills. + Experience in transportation, business analytics, and business intelligence. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 2 plus years of transportation experience + Experience working in start-up environments and managing multiple tasks simultaneously. + Problem-solving attitude and ability to work with multiple screens. Work Environment This is a hybrid role with 2 days on-site and 3 days remote. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-site days on Wednesday and Thursday, and remote days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday.
