Job Description

SENIOR GLOBAL SUPPLY PLANNER

– St. Jude Medical / Atlanta, GADevelop, maintain, and communicate manufacturing build and logistical plans for assigned products. Works cross-functionally with purchasing, production, engineering, quality, distribution, and other teams as necessary to resolve product issues and support global supply chain planning in international markets.

Coordinate manufacturing and logistics plans to achieve product availability, line fill rate goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).Address short term availability or inventory issues in addition to longer term supply-demand imbalances as part of monthly Sales and operations planning (SandOP)process and daily exception management. Work with Supply and Distribution partners to resolve any issues that arise. Generate reports and perform data analysis to proactively revise plans or resolve issues. Develop and provide a detailed plan for finished goods and subassemblies which supports the top-level approved build plans, assuring quantity and mix are clearly communicated to manufacturing. Identify slow-moving stock and define and initiate actions to remove and prevent recreation of slow-moving stock. Review forecast data and backorder reports, including early warning signs, to prioritize and expedite manufacturing jobs to prevent or clear backorders.

Review and update material master data on regular basis to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Monitor safety stock levels and act as needed to maintain or refill stock levels. Execute Finished Goods Inventory strategy based on Customer and Business requirements, driving continuous improvement to inventory and service through an understanding of the end-to-end supply chain. Respond to customer inquiries and expedites fast and effectively. Use databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including Oracle and SAP.Bachelors or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or in a related field of study with at least 5 years of related progressive professional logistics or supply chain planning experience.

Must possess experience in:

(i) coordinating manufacturing and logistics plans to achieve product availability, line fill rate goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs); (ii) addressing short term availability or inventory issues in addition to longer term supply-demand imbalances as part of monthly Sales and operations planning (SandOP) process; (iii) generating reports and performing data analysis to proactively revise plans or resolve issues; (iv) reviewing forecast data and backorder reports, including early warning signs, to prioritize and expedite manufacturing jobs to prevent or clear backorders; (v) using databases and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, including Oracle and SAP; and (vi) supporting global supply chain planning in international markets.
