Summary Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a Supply Chain Planner at our Gainesville location. The Supply Chain Planner plays a key role in developing production schedules for assigned departments to meet customer expectations, effectively manage manufacturing resources and achieve targeted inventory levels within the constraints of the supply plan provided in the Sales, Inventory & Operations Plan (SIOP Process). This position is critical for achieving customer service, plant efficiency and inventory objectives. Completes these tasks by performing the following duties personally or through others. What You Will Do The Supply Chain Planner works safely and supports safety within their team across the organization. As part of this role, you will: Ensure sufficient stock to meet customer demand while minimizing overstocking and stockout
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce cost
Develop and manage both constrained and unconstrained production schedules
Ensure timely procurement of materials and coordinate with suppliers to maintain a smooth supply chain Scheduling and Planning Responsible for accurate planning parameters in SAP Responsible for accurate stock level including safety stock and reorder point and their corresponding calculations
Responsible for accurate production parameters Review item segmentation as per the establish routine
Elaborates weekly production schedules and support in the manufacturing environment
Analyze process data and recommend engineering changes to improve scheduling Perform Audits of schedule to ensure customer demands are met
Support daily issues related to the schedule
Utilize SAP capacity planning requirements and MES planning system
Review and analyze inventory levels to ensure working capital target while maintaining service level Maintain weekly production files and metrics Works with Purchasing to ensure that all necessary materials are on order and will be received in a timely manner
Provide Sales / Customer Service with product delivery updates and lead times SIOP Process Develop and Maintain SIOP files and metrics per assigned areas
Align supply chain activities including planning, sourcing, production, and delivery with demand
Provide monthly SIOP performance reports per assigned areas
Identify and mitigate risks
Back up to for Cycle program for the production areas in the plant
Analyses manufacturing inventory negative balances and Work Order variances to correct inventories for assigned departments
Monitors and recommends items planning strategy Assists the warehouse and production with physical inventories
Enters new stock into inventory when needed Team Based problem Solving/Projects Lead cross-functional teams to facilitate optimal product flow through the assigned departments
Analyzes opportunities, develops and implements solutions to enhance the scheduling process for the assigned departments
Activities include scheduling process improvement, increase inventory turns, cycle counts, cost reduction efforts, statistical analysis, as well as utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodology, and teamwork Key Accountability Metrics Safety metrics, fill rate completion rate/OTIF, Inventory turns and working capital, SIOP performance metrics, audit production variances, cycle count program, EBITB Education and Experience Required Three years minimum manufacturing and/or Supply Chain experience
Bachelors degree in engineering, finance, business, supply chain, or related
Must be able to identify potential problems and provide solutions
Proficient computer skills; effective written and verbal communication; ability to simultaneously execute multiple assignments; problem solving; and project management Preferred Two years or more of related experience as a Master Scheduling or Materials Planner
Capacity Planning in SAP and MES
