Transportation Specialist

We provide Tier 1 logistic, warehousing and inventory services to Kia Motors Manufacturing. We currently have and opening for a 2nd Shift Transportation Specialist (2:30 pm
• 11:00 pm).

Responsibilities Include:

Update and create customers and carriers weekly invoice in a timely manner(Invoicing and Summary) Support documents requested by team members, HOS, HOD Follow up with instruction by HOS Overseeing billing processing including following up on aging accounts report. Keeping all Transportation related invoice Visit customers and have meetings when requested by HOS

• Keep and organize all rate, quote, meeting minutes Manage customer accounts assigned by HOD to ensure the most efficient freight movement and cost effective services Handles issues with carriers and customers
• Safety, driver/equipment status, billing, special run, incident/accident Ensure Glovis’ compliance with DOT regulations and explain to customers Compile and generate reports as they relate to the customer and carrier Timely acceptance and processing of inbound load tenders, purchase orders and Bill of Ladings while ensuring information provided is correct for future billing to customer, if required Schedule appointments with carriers and customers Responsible for overseeing billing processing including following up on aging accounts report Maintain and file all records in accordance with policy and procedures Maintain and update contracts and agreements with both carriers and customers Manage and collect AR to keep within Net 30 Audit carriers•Visit customer site to ensure all drivers are following safety procedure as PPE, strap, cable, or load bar requirements•Equipment check as tractor and trailer condition•Discussion with drivers about driving condition Visit and discuss with customers about transportation status(Customer Satisfaction)•Extra support, driver’s behavior, safety, equipment status, shipment issues, delay Report to management about quote, customer request, safety/load issues Report to management about incident/accident and follow instructions at visit incident/accident site, prepare accident report, meeting with customer

Minimum Position Qualifications:

College Business Degree or 2-3 years full time working experience within a transportation related field. Strong Customer Support experience.

Strong Excel Skills:

MUST be able to create complex excel formulas as well as Pivot Tables and V-Lookups. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs such as Work and PowerPoint. Ability to work overtime as needed and to support customers after normal working hours. Must be able to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly both verbally and written. Must be able to work overtime as needed. Glovis Georgia offers a competitive benefits and salary package.
