Transition Coordinator Louisiana Youth Connect 4845 Jamestown Avenue, Baton Rouge, LA 70808 State Youth organization is a cutting edge program that provides developmental mentorship, training, prevention, advocacy services, education, and empowerment to youth in the transition age group moving into young adulthood. We believe in developing youth into the leaders they were born to be. Furthermore, we seek to partner with workers who share that same passion and vision. We are growing and seek to hire additional staff. We are seeking MALE applicants as priority.
New staff members will:
Assist youth in preparing for job placement, hygiene, social enrichment, behavioral conflict resolution, financial planning and training, health & wellness, and much more. Each youth has a specific plan or set of goals and you will be an advocate to assist them in completing those goals. Independent growth and skills training are a huge part of this initiative, and each staff person will contribute to the youth’s growth in that process. Build healthy relationships with the parent and/or legal guardians.•Currently, MALE & FEMALE applicants desired.

Varies Qualified applicants will: Be at least 21 years of age. Hold a High School Diploma or GED. (Associates Degree or higher preferred) Have at least 2 years experience in social services or human services work. (mentoring, counseling, education, or civic community organizations)•Each applicant will be required to complete a Drug Test, TB screening, and criminal background check prior to working.
