Grant Manager Location:

Remote We are seeking an experienced Grant Manager with a proven track record in transportation and infrastructure funding—particularly in port infrastructure, environmental programs, and clean energy initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of grant acquisition and management, including opportunity identification, proposal development, compliance oversight, and strategic deployment of federal, state, and private funds. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of programs such as the Port Infrastructure Development Program (PIDP) and EDA Clean Ports , and will support the development of intermodal, maritime, and freight mobility initiatives in alignment with national sustainability and equity goals.

Requirements:

Strategic Grant Development & Management Lead end-to-end grants process from funding identification to closeout. Coordinate the development of high-quality proposals, narratives, and budgets. Maintain calendar of funding opportunities and submission deadlines. Compliance & Reporting Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local funding requirements, including 2 CFR Part 200 . Oversee post-award grant administration, including financial reporting, reimbursement requests, and audit preparation. Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and reporting obligations. Technical & Programmatic Collaboration Work with internal teams to identify infrastructure improvement opportunities, including intermodal operations, logistics, and freight systems. Support environmental permitting, NEPA reviews, engineering coordination, and project delivery efforts as needed. Stakeholder Engagement Serve as liaison to funding agencies, regional partners, and community stakeholders. Lead stakeholder briefings, site visits, and grant-related presentations.

Education & Experience Preferred:

Master’s degree + 5 years in maritime infrastructure or environmental grant management.

Alternative Path:

Bachelor’s degree + 10 years in transportation or infrastructure program roles.

Experience-Based Qualification:

High school diploma with 15+ years in port infrastructure or maritime transportation will be considered with demonstrated expertise.
