Full Job Description Materials and Production Planner Location:

Woburn, MA (On-site) Xico Lighting designs and manufactures high-performance architectural lighting solutions with a focus on precision, innovation, and speed to market. Position Summary Xico Lighting is seeking an experienced Materials and Production Planner to oversee planning and scheduling of materials and production processes in our fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in aligning procurement, inventory, and production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing efficiency and minimizing lead times.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain detailed production plans and material requirements based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels. Coordinate closely with purchasing, manufacturing, engineering, and customer service teams to ensure timely availability of materials and components. Utilize ERP and MRP systems (Rootstock/Salesforce preferred) to generate accurate and timely work orders, purchase requisitions, and schedules. Monitor and manage inventory levels, safety stock, and reorder points for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Analyze capacity and resource constraints to create achievable production schedules. Track production progress and proactively address any delays or material shortages. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in material flow and production scheduling. Support product transitions and engineering changes with updated planning data and coordination. Generate and maintain planning KPIs and reporting tools.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in production planning and materials management in a manufacturing environment (lighting or electronics industry preferred). Strong understanding of supply chain and manufacturing principles (e.g., MRP, lead time optimization, BOM management). Proficient with ERP/MRP systems; experience with Rootstock ERP and Salesforce CRM is highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices a plus. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Why Join Xico Lighting?
