Responsibilities:
1.
Inventory Management:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of materials, supplies, and equipment for accuracy and quality.
- Store items in designated locations and maintain an organized and clean storeroom or warehouse.
- Keep accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking stock movements and conducting regular physical inventory counts.
2.
Issuing and Distribution:
- Issue materials, supplies, and equipment to employees or departments as requested.
- Ensure that all items are issued according to company policies and procedures.
- Track and document the issuance of materials to ensure accurate inventory records.
3.
Record Keeping:
- Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing materials, including purchase orders, packing slips, and inventory logs.
- Use inventory management software or systems to update and manage inventory data.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels, stock usage, and other relevant metrics as required by management.
4.
Procurement Support:
- Assist with the procurement of materials and supplies by providing information on stock levels and usage trends.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to orders, deliveries, and discrepancies.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock and avoid shortages.
5.
Quality Control:
- Inspect and verify the quality and quantity of materials received, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications.
- Report any damaged, defective, or incorrect items to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Implement and maintain procedures for the safe and proper handling of materials and equipment.
6.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment in the storeroom or warehouse.
- Ensure that all materials are stored and handled in compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards or concerns promptly.
7.
Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to internal customers, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist employees with locating and selecting the appropriate materials and supplies for their needs.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory and materials promptly and effectively.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in inventory management, warehousing, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling and recording materials.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, and perform physical tasks in a warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures related to storeroom or warehouse operations.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certification or training in inventory management, logistics, or a related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending.
- Stamina to work long hours and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
- Agility to navigate storeroom or warehouse environments safely.
