JOB SUMMARY
Coordinates the shipping and logistics efforts for the Warehouse. Monitors/Coordinates shipping team activities/effectiveness. Assures shipping goals are met. Monitors sales orders, print picks, communicates with customers via ship portals and creates ship documentation. Coordinates with inbound and outbound carriers, processes sales returns, backorders, contests chargebacks, and ensures all customer service issues are handled in a concise and timely fashion.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE
Must have good math and computer skills. Customer service oriented. Well organized and detail oriented. A self-starter with initiative and proven willingness to assume ownership for areas of responsibility. Ability to make informed decisions quickly and independently. Strong inter-personal communication and employee relations skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
HS or equivalent required Some college preferred 3-5 years shipping logistics experience Familiarity with computer based (ERP, eShip or other shipping software platforms), required Familiarity with utilizing online customer shipping portals required Hazmat shipping experience/certification preferred Familiarity with Lean Operating Systems preferred
