Duties:
- Accomplishes production planning human resource objectives byrecruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling,coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating jobexpectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing jobcontributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions;enforcing policies and procedures.
- Achieves production planning operational objectives bycontributing production planning information and recommendations tostrategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans;implementing production, productivity, quality, andcustomer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits;identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementingchange.
- Meets production planning financial objectives by forecastingrequirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures;analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Determines production priorities by reviewing customer orders andrequirements and production schedules; analyzing equipment,materials, and employee availability; coordinating schedules withsales and warehousing.
- Resolves production scheduling problems by analyzing reports;developing solutions.
- Provides management control information by collecting, analyzing,and summarizing production data and trends.
- Updates production priorities by reviewing production output andnew requirements.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educationalopportunities; reading professional publications; maintainingpersonal networks; participating in professional organizations.
