This position reports to
Internal Logistics Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Maintain and monitor Kanban material replenishment across production lines.
Ensure timely movement of materials from the warehouse to the production floor using Kanban signals.
Identify and address bottlenecks or delays in material flow to prevent production disruptions.
Regularly audit Kanban cards, bins, and racks to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
Work closely with material handlers, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Kanban processes and reduce waste.
Support the setup and organization of Kanban storage areas and supermarkets.
Use 5S principles to keep work areas clean, organized, and efficient.
Report material shortages, discrepancies, or process issues to supervisors.
Assist in training team members on Kanban procedures and best practices.
Utilize Microsoft Excel to track and analyze Kanban performance, update inventory data, and generate basic reports.
Qualifications for the role
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or production logistics.
Basic knowledge of Kanban systems and lean manufacturing principles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, data entry, and tracking spreadsheets).
Ability to lift and move materials as required for the role.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Basic understanding of inventory control and material flow.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is a plus but not required.
Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
