QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduate or equivalent and a minimum of three years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, and accounting for parts and supplies preferred.

JOB GOAL
To perform journey level administration and clerical support duties such as accounting, purchasing, and inventory control using the Business System Information Portal (BSIP) as mandated by
NCDPI. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Keeps complete records on all phases of the school transportation program. Maintains accurate documentation of all repairs and replacements including the transportation parts room. Assists in collecting and maintaining all necessary reports relating to school transportation, i.e., Student Headcount, TD-1, TD-10, TD-2 Report, TD2R Report. Coordinates all fixed assets for the transportation office. Reviews, monitors, recommends changes, implements and facilitates integration of technology and IT systems into transportation programs in order to improve efficiency and gather data. Identifies sources of a variety of information, prepares comprehensive reports, abstracts of factual data and documentation. Manages day to day operation of BSIP program to include data entry and associated reporting. Generates schedule for PM and MI services on buses. Develops and compiles a variety of records and reports using BSIP, Travel Tracker, AS400, CalAmp, Google Suite, Excel, etc. Resolves problem situations in a fast paced environment while handling multiple projects simultaneously. Assists in parts room as needed, i.e. annual inventory, etc. Attends and successfully completes all training activities as required to improve ability and knowledge in performance of work duties. Performs all other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office or related software. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing. Ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must possess physical abilities to perform job such as talking, hearing, operating a computer, etc. Must be able to perform heaving lifting exerting up to 100 lb. of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
