Position summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist works closely with the Product Management team to utilize the processes, systems, and monthly schedules needed to meet Kuraray America’s product commitments to its internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Rough cut and detailed scheduling for assigned assets
- Producing weekly, monthly, annual charts
- Track metrics for assigned processes
- Preparation of shipping documents (BOL/Packing List/COA) for shipments generated in SAP
- Manage dry flake supplies to Internal Customers. Balance forecasted demand from Global Supply Chain with Washington Works capacity. Work with Operations to manage daily/weekly/monthly production schedule
- Communicates with manufacturing, plant technical, purchasing, and master scheduling personnel regarding supply problems and there resolutions
- Manage inventory to local and global targets as assigned
- Coordinate with internal customers on shipment details based on production schedules
- Compiles stock control records and information;such as consumptions rate, characteristics of itemsin storage, and current market conditions, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment
- Provide dashboards and charts for global monthly Supply Planning Meeting
- Maintain high standards for raw material quality and manage systems to meet ISO requirements.
Follow up and investigate quality issues with vendors by completing SCARs, consulting technical, and arranging disposition. Interact with Supplier Relations Team, as necessary, to follow up on supplier issues.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Two plus years of experience in supply chain, product management or equivalent role
- Computer skills in ERP systems (SAP preferred
- MS Suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
- Ability to be a strong independent contributor as well as a team player
- Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, creative thinking, consulting, and analytical skills
