This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to launch a career in manufacturing. The Material Specialist will play a crucial role in our supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient flow of materials from suppliers to production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in manufacturing processes and a desire to grow within a dynamic company.
Requirements:
Inventory Management:
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to support production needs while minimizing excess stock.
Material Coordination:
Work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.
Data Analysis:
Track and analyze material usage patterns, forecast demand, and identify potential supply chain issues.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of material transactions, including receipts, transfers, and inventory adjustments.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the material handling process.
Collaboration:
Partner with the production team to understand material requirements and resolve any supply chain issues that may impact production schedules.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all materials meet quality standards and specifications before they are released to production.
Reporting:
Prepare and present reports on inventory levels, material usage, and supplier performance to the Supply Chain Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain principles is a plus.
