Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.

This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use. Role Purpose Responsible for executing and coordinating basic day to day activities across warehouse, transportation, trade, compliance and logistics. Key Responsibilities Plan, organize, schedule and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements and company procedure.
Help drive On Time to Promise, coordinating with Operations or Planning as necessary.
Maintain logs and records as necessary for shipments and customer requirements.
Prepare reports as necessary. Hours of work M-F 40+ hours / week. Some weekend / off-hours coverage required to support shipping operations. Experience/Education – Required 2+ years of Material Control, Shipping/Receiving or Logistics experience
High school education or GED
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a dynamic business and manufacturing environment.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.
Organizational and time management skills.
ERP system knowledge with regards to shipping and inventory functions.
MS Word & Excel proficiency. Experience/Education – Desired Associate degree or higher preferred.
SAP system knowledge with regards to shipping and inventory functions.

Can act as subject matter expert. This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $41,441.00 – $56,982.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
