Production Planner 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars Oxford, NC 27565 About the Role We are hiring a Production Planner / Scheduler for a growing manufacturing operation in Oxford, NC . This is a direct hire position offering excellent growth potential and competitive compensation. In this role, you’ll help coordinate production schedules , materials planning , and inventory management to ensure efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery. You’ll work closely with the operations team to align resources with customer demand, maintain accurate inventory, and solve scheduling challenges as they arise. This is a great opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience in production planning or supply chain who’s looking to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities Create and manage production schedules based on forecasts and capacity Ensure timely availability of raw materials and components Optimize production workflows and prioritize customer delivery deadlines Collaborate with Operations Manager to maximize equipment utilization Adjust schedules in response to changing priorities or delays Maintain accurate inventory levels and perform regular inventory audits Generate purchase orders for subcontracted services and outsourced finishing Monitor delivery timelines and support high customer service levels Communicate effectively with department leads, especially regarding quality or engineering updates What You Bring Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) 1-2 years of experience in production planning or inventory control within manufacturing Experience using MRP/ERP systems (for scheduling and forecasting) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment This is a hands-on, impactful role ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a manufacturing setting, and wants to contribute to a growing team.
