POSITION SUMMARY

: A Catering Logistics Associate is responsible for ensuring the timely and safe transport of food, beverages, and equipment to various delivery clients, and assistance with the management of event equipment as it relates to equipment packing, and loading and unloading vans for staffed events. This position involves both indoor and outdoor work, depending on the event location and set up requirements.

SCHEDULE

Varied based upon the events scheduled each week. The goal would be to work 30-40 hours per week. Mornings, weekdays, weekends, or evenings will be required based upon volume of business during heavy times (April and October Furniture Markets, Wyndham Championship, December, etc.).

Delivery Event Responsibilities:

Load Food, beverages, and catering equipment into the company vehicle according to the event order. Ensure all items are securely packed to prevent damage during transport Set up buffets and beverage stations per the event requirements on the Banquet Event Order. Ensure all food items are displayed in a logical, attractive, and sanitary manner. Prepare beverages such as tea, lemonade, and coffee, with ice, as required for events. Provide courteous and efficient service to clients, addressing any needs or concerns promptly. Clearly communicate any issues to Driving Supervisor. Break down and clean up buffets and beverage stations after the event, at the appropriate time. Load leftover food, equipment, and supplies back into the company vehicle. Transport all items back to the catering kitchen and unload them. Ensure all equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering vehicle and equipment. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Driving Supervisor. Other functions as required to meet the needs of Pepper Moon Catering.

Staffed Event Responsibilities:

Under supervision of Pack Crew Team, assist with loading of equipment packed for staffed events into company vehicles. Ensure all items are loaded into the appropriate company vehicle, packed logically and securely to prevent damage during transport. Assist with the unloading of company vehicles that have returned to Pepper Moon after events have been executed.

• Identify what items are dirty and determine if they go to the dish pit or if they need to clean, sanitize, and/or wrap them immediately for storage.
• Place dirty items in the dish pit correctly and reasonably for dish crew to manage.
• Return all unused items to the correct storage spot, after checking for any breakage or repair needs. Any breakage or repairs must be communicated to the Equipment Manager or Pack Crew Team Member.
• Throw away any necessary trash.
• Replace vehicle mats if necessary.
• Assist with the packing of event equipment as determined by the Pack Crew Team.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the catering vehicle and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid NC drivers license required Experience in food delivery or catering services preferred. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is desirable. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in driving or logistics is a plus.
