Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to help run the day-to-day operations of our dynamic home. It requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys helping a family succeed behind the scenes, is proficient at maximizing the resources available to them, and can confidently support the schedules, transportation, and logistical needs of both adults and kids. The right candidate will be someone who is naturally highly-productive with their time, a confident communicator, and someone who connects well with older children and teens. Key Responsibilities:
Daily Duties Safely drive four active children (ages 9-14) to and from school, sports, camps, appointments, and other activities using a company-provided vehicle Enforce kids’ chores, homework rules and tech boundaries Manage, communicate, and coordinate with household vendors to ensure household runs smoothly and issues are promptly addressed Includes, but is not limited to, cleaners, appliance repair, landscapers, pool technicians, HVAC, pest control Prepare healthy lunches and snacks for kids for school, soccer, and outings Tidy all areas of the home, maintaining an organized and clean environment Includes making beds, wiping counters, cleaning up spills, and picking up stray laundry, trash, toys and dishes, while enforcing expectations of the children’s responsibilities Ensuring bathrooms and other common areas are stocked with essentials Manage all laundry needs including steaming/ironing wrinkled clothing when needed Take care of dogs during the workday, letting them out and managing light pet care routines Bring in and manage mail and package deliveries Communicate proactively and in a timely manner with parents and household service providers Weekly & Recurring Tasks Develop intended upcoming week’s work schedule based on planned family needs Grocery shop and restock household goods Provide meal prep: adult lunches and reheat-ready family dinners Wash and rotate bath and bed linens, coordinating with cleaners Clean out the fridge of spills and crumbs and expired foods Brush dogs Coordinate grooming, boarding and vet appointments as needed Tidy outdoor living spaces; water plants seasonally Run errands (dry cleaning, returns, donations, shipping, etc.) Maintain company vehicle – fuel, washes, oil changes, tire service, etc. As-Needed Research, contact and schedule new vendors as needed Communicate with current vendors Schedule personal appointments as needed (such as orthodontist, dentist, haircut, etc.) Add appointments to family calendar(s) Help pack/unpack for family trips or tournaments Wash comforters and blankets Deep clean appliances Support gift-giving/wrapping, event prep, organization, and professional or school-related administrative projects Dog and house sit when family is out of town (feeding dogs, letting them out, bringing in packages, etc) Stay overnight with children when parents are simultaneously traveling (this is not often) Hours & Availability This is a full-time, exempt position expected to average 45-50 hours per week, with heavier workloads falling during the school-and-sports season. Availability is expected 7 days a week between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM, based on the family’s evolving schedule. While actual working hours will vary day to day and it is not typical to work every day or more than 8-9 hours in a day, flexibility is essential. The Household Logistics Manager should be available during this window unless time off has been requested and approved in advance. Qualifications Clean criminal background check Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Experience in household or family logistics management Confident and comfortable working with preteens and teens Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Calm, professional presence with a solution-oriented mindset High level of discretion, reliability, and initiative Dog-friendly and comfortable with light pet care Flexible, coachable, and collaborative
